Two new Apple Watch Series 10 watch faces [Updated]

The Apple Watch Series 10 showcases the biggest display ever for an Apple Watch, and there are new watch faces that can be utilized. Apple claims that the Apple Watch Series 10 has two distinct new faces: “Flux” and “Reflections.”

These watch faces are also coming to existing Apple Watch models, albeit without support for one key feature.

September 10, 2024: updated to note the faces are also making their way to existing Apple Watch models.

Another notable alteration on the Apple Watch Series 10 is that the display offers a quicker refresh rate. Previously, the Apple Watch’s always-on display refreshed once every minute. However, with the Apple Watch Series 10, the refresh rate will increase to once per second thanks to a more power-efficient wide-angle OLED display.

This means that both of these Apple Watch faces are coming to all Apple Watch models, but only the Apple Watch Series 10 will provide that enhanced experience while in the always-on mode.

Apple states that the Flux watch face offers a “bold graphic design that fills the screen with color second by second.”

The Apple Watch Series 10 will also add a new “Reflections” watch face, once again made possible by the faster refresh rate. “The Reflections watch face features a distinctive shimmering dial that subtly reacts to user movements and is designed to complement the highly reflective quality of the new titanium cases,” Apple says.

Hermès Apple Watch Ultra

Finally, Apple also unveiled today the very first Hermès version of the Apple Watch Ultra. This watch will come with an exclusive Maritime watch face that features graphic Cape Cod numerals. “The bezel displays seconds, and with a press of the Action button, a Regatta countdown timer makes keeping time on and off the boat a breeze,” Apple says.
